I’ve pretty much run out of things to say about the state of the world that are not being articulated better and with great persistence, by comentators and journalists like Wizard Bisan (Bisan Owda), Motaz Azaiza (photographer and speaker), Vijay Prasad, Jemima Pierre, Aaron Mate, Youtube’s Neutrality Studies, Breakthrough News, and some other independent sites. So I thought I would leave the old year with a gallery of images I have worked on, mainly digital drawings and some photography, along with some songs that have provided distraction and solace in the dark of winter and in this winter of our souls. Click the links to go to Youtube to hear some of the music… It’s an eclectic lot! Now that the solstice has passed, the daylight hours will begin their imperceptible lengthening cycle. Season’s greetings from EartotheGround!
I am a chronically ill queer artist and writer. I have a number of degrees in higher education and have spent most of my life interested and active in social movements against racism, militarism, misogyny and homophobia. Over the course of my life, I have worked in the world of alternate news, translation, law, teaching, and with progressive cultures, music, poetry, performers, and artists. I speak and understand a few languages and plan to share media in them on this blog. I am a poetry, art, music, and nature lover with an especial fondness for cats!

Hi Kaushalya: Beautiful digital paintings. Thank you for this uplifting material when the daily news is so, so bleak.
